7th May weigh in

AAAAH maintained this week ...
I know why though, I have not eaten enough...those who are familiar with slimming world will know what I mean!

Its been another stressful week and I tend to loose my appetite when stressed and upset!

But still my weight loss to date is 2 stone 8lbs (that's 36lbs!!!)
And folks are starting to notice and I am getting some lovely compliments!

30th April weigh in

Got my 2 1/2 stone award
and Slimmer of the week award.

I have been good, and made the right choices....added to the fact that it has been (and still is) a very stressful and upsetting week!!!

My usual pattern when under this kind of pressure would be to head for the biscuit barrel....but I haven't, so a big pat on the back for me!! lol!!!

23rd April weigh in

Hi .... didn't loose too good this week just another 1/2 lb ! I, in all honesty was not expecting to loose even that, I have had a really bad week food ( and alchohol )wise!

But I am going to draw a line under it and have a better week this week.

Our consultant gave a really good example:
you have a lovely bunch of 7 flowers,Photobucket one wilts, you don't throw the whole bunch away... you remove the wilted one.
That's how we should view our slimming week.... if we have one bad day, throw it away we still have 6 lovely days left!

So ignore the Photobucketon your shoulder and remember your goals, who you want to be and the reasons whyPhotobucket

ANOTHER 2 1/2 lbs off....

Thats just 1/2 lb off the 2 stone mark. 2 stone in 3months... not bad !!!

Speedy Bangers and Bean (serves 8)

This is from Slimming World's 100 Comfort Foods Recipe book page 106
Green Day = 2syns per serving
Red Day = 5.5 syns per serving

16 Quorn sausages
fry light
227g/8oz lean bacon,allvisible fat removed and diced
1/2 red chilli, deseeded and finely sliced
1/2 tsp paprika
511ml/18fl oz passata
a splash of Worcestershire sauce and soy sauce
1 tsp freshly chopped thyme
397g/14oz can baked beans
312/11oz canned cannellini beans
312/11oz canned borlotti beans.

Place the sausages in a pan sprayed with fry light and cook until golden.
Add the bacon chilli and paprika to the pan and cook for 2 mins.

Add the passata, worcestershire sauce, soy sauce and thyme and stir to make sure the sausages are covered.

Finally add the beans, stir thoroughly and cook for a few mins until the beans have warmed through. Serve immediatly with a jacket potato, potato wedges or pasta.

I had the usual "whats this?" as my children forked a cannelloni/borlotti bean.
But apart from that it went down really well!
Definitely doing this one again.

2nd April weigh in

Hi ... I lost another 1 lb this week...chipping away at it, I hadn't realized that during the month of March I lost 9lbs!!! and that's getting through the old chocolate month!
To keep me focused I have purchased a 6 week countdown...basically means I have paid for 6weeks of classes (5 weeks + 1 free week)....should keep me on the straight and narrow!! Anyway that's all for now catch you later.x.

Sorry about this but have hit a low point and need to sound off!

As most of you are aware I am on a "diet" This though does not feel as such due to the fact that it is a healthy eating plan. (slimming world)

So I can have a few treats as long as I count them and don't go mad...some treats like muller light yoghurt's are free on the plan, other things like a healthy cereal bar purchased at slimming world are classed as a healthy extra...Then there is alcohol. Vodka is the lowest syn value at 2.5 I have taken to having this with diet coke.

My point:So I don't have the crisps, chocolate, biscuits, cakes etc. so why do my family even though told on many occasions to stay of my stuff do they insist on taking and taking with out even asking.

Then when I kick off about it I get shouted down! Though it is more than OK for the other adult in this house to sound off whenever they so desire!
And they wonder why I don't talk to them about my thoughts feelings and problems...Why because I just don't matter.!!
As you may of gathered this is far more than a food issue ....runs much deeper!

Sorry just needed to get it off my chest!

Clear Out

Well I have been a busy little bee today.Photobucket
I have been sorting through my clothes, and have bagged up the clothes that are now to big for me!
I decided that I should get rid of them and not keep them as back up in case I "grow" back into them! which is what I have been doing...This not a good attitude for me to is counter productive!
Instead I have clothes that are 1 & 2 sizes down from what I am at now...These are now my "back up" I have to get smaller now.! LOL!

weigh in 26th march

I have lost another 4lbs this week = 1 stone 10 lbs (24lbs!) in 12 weeks.
Though I have to be honest.... this was 2 weeks worth, as I didn't weigh in last week due to being poorly!

I am going to try a new dish.... called "Speedy sausage and bean casserole.
I will let you know how it goes....more importantly if my family like it.I will also start posting pics of the dishes I keep me on the straight and narrow it will act as food dairy!! lol !!

I am chuffed to bits at how well I am doing!
I am getting back into clothes that I haven't been able to get into for around 3 years!
I have to admit that this is what is keeping me motivated!!!
And I am quite addicted to the feel good factor that loosing weight is doing for me...this is also keeping me motivated.

I have lost another 1, 1/2 lbs ! ! !
Chip Chip Chipping away I have now lost a total of 20 lbs ( 1 stone 6 lbs )
I have also just purchased a new "comfort food " recipe book so will be logging the ones that I try.

bad week

Well after such a good week last week, I suppose it follows that I would have a bad one this week after all it is "Sharons World" that I live in!
I did not go to weigh in this week I felt terrible! It has been a tough week not just with the WL Journey but Emotionally, Physically, Mentally....I am trying really hard to get back into the swing of things but it is really hard when you have other forces fighting against you!!!
But don't worry "I'M NOT GIVING UP!"

I'm very proud of what I have achieved to date....1 stone 1 lb loss (15 lbs)
Something to hold onto for continued motivation

After taking alook at my fellow crafter Deannes blog...I decided to take a leaf out of her book...
Im going to share with you what is motivating me to shed at least 6 stone!!!

This is me 7 years ago...I lost lots of weight on the SLIMMING WORLD plan.
ooooh lala....We were going on our 2nd honey va voom!!!

This is me December 2006 feeling fat and frumpy!!!

This is me January this year 2008 and OMG I am definately filling out that top!! Why why do we do this to ourselves??? I seem to be very good at pressing the old self destruct button....

But no more... the fight is on ...I want to look and feel gorgeous!! This is the reason I went back to SLIMMING WORLD.....these pics I carry around with
me to keep a constant reminder,of not what I have become, but of what I can achieve!!!
